Keep track of the units!
The most common error for these types of problems is
to use the "wrong" units. Days need to be converted
to seconds, km need to be converted to meters, etc.
Show your work! We can only give credit
if we understand what you have done.
Check your answers for reasonableness. Have you
calculated that Saturn weighs more or less than the Sun?
Significant Figures. Your final answer should
only retain the minimum number of significant figures. Rule
of thumb: for multiplication, the product is the least # of
significant figures from the input; for addition, the sum
should retain the "left-most" decimal of the input.
We will deduct points for egregious misuse of sig figs!
