Data Analyst

Applications are invited for a data analyst position in the
Department of Astronomy
at Indiana University, Bloomington.
The data analyst will work with
Dr. Liese van Zee on processing the wide field images obtained as
part of the SMUDGES survey
(see http://www.astro.indiana.edu/~vanzee/SMUDGES/
for more details).
As the position will require reduction and processing of MOSAIC imaging data,
the ideal candidate will have experience with optical imaging and analysis;
experience with IRAF is preferred.
The position is for one year, with a possible second year extension subject to the availability of funding and performance. The position is available starting July 1, 2008, but the actual start date is negotiable. Qualified applicants must have at least a Bachelors degree by the date of appointment.
