Spring 2009, Volunteer Associate Instructor (Dr. Durisen-Instructor), A103: The Search for Life in the Universe

This class is designed for (mostly) non-majors and covers various topics such as: how is life defined, where would you most likely look for it, and what methods might you use to actually detect life or extrasolar planets. This course also covers some basic physics and astronomy concepts, but does not require upper level math or physics knowledge.

Summer 2009, Instructor, A105: Stars and Galaxies

This class is designed for non-science majors and covers many aspects of modern astronomy including stellar evolution and galaxy structure. There are no prerequisites, but knowledge of simple algebra and geometry are required.
