In honor of Kent Honeycutt's retirement after 38 years at Indiana University, Kent's former students are organizing a special celebratory dinner and symposium to be held on the IU Bloomington campus. The Chair of the Organizing Committee is Arne Henden of the AAVSO.

When:   Friday, April 7 & Saturday, April 8

Where:  Indiana University

A block of rooms have been reserved for April 7 & 8 at the Fairfield Inn by Marriott located west of Bloomington just off the intersection of SR 48 & 37 Bypass at 120 Fairfield Dr.  You may Phone: 812-331-1122, Fax:  812-323-1133, or email bmf @ fhgin.com and reference Group Name – Indiana University Astronomy-Honeycutt Symposium to reserve your room.  All room reservations must be made by March 7.  All rooms not reserved by this date will be opened back up to the public. 

A dinner will be held on Friday, April 7 at 6:30 pm at the Mayfield Inn Ballroom.  The Mayfield Inn is located west of Bloomington just off SR 45 & 37 Bypass at 2100 Liberty Drive.  The Buffet dinner includes Slow Baked Salmon w/Asparagus & Sherry Soy Vinaigrette, Carved Roast Beef, Asiago Grilled Asparagus, Fresh Green Beans w/Caramelized Shallots & Walnuts, and Rosemary & Garlic Roasted Red Skin Potatoes.  Cost per person will be $14.95.

The Symposium talks will be held on Saturday, April 8 from 8:00am – 5:00pm in Swain Hall West 219. Please contact Arne at arne @ aavso.org with the title and abstract of your contribution to the symposium.
