Manage Indiana University's central shared systems; duties have included primary and/or backup system administrator for high herformance computing (HPC) systems: SGI O2000 (64 CPU SMP), IBM RS6000/SP (72 node DMP), Sun E10k (64 CPU SMP), and commodity HPC PC clusters (16 node, dual CPU SMP). For the past year I have been managing Research & Technical Services' (RATS) central support systems such as the centralized user filespace (SUNnfs), Steels' applications servers (Durga, Forge, Anvil), as well as the Steel itself; the general cycle server for 17,000 I.U. users.
Current endeavours involve integrating and upgrading these central support servers. The results of which are too ease systems management duties, improve systems security, reliability & recovery times, and to produce a coherent structure amoungst formerly disassociated systems.
